Acura and Honda<\/a> are recalling 294,612 vehicles because of a software issue that impacts the fuel injection electronic control unit. Unfortunately, this can cause the engine to stall or lose power.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tvar adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]}; The recall involves the 2021-2025 Acura TLX Type-S, 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type-S, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot<\/a>. The government said that due to improper programming, “sudden changes in the throttle opening” could cause the engine to lose drive power, hesitate, and\/or stall.<\/p>\n More: Leaky Fuel Filler Sparks Honda Recall Of 206,000 Passport And Pilot SUVs<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Honda began investigating the issue in December of 2023 and were notified by Denso of a potential problem in April of 2024. The companies continued gathering and analyzing data, eventually deciding to conduct a recall earlier this month. As of January 16, the automaker has received 674 warranty claims related to the issue, but there are no reports of injuries or crashes.<\/p>\n Owners will be notified in March and they’ll be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealership, where the FI-ECU software will be reprogrammed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a> <\/p>\n
