The companies continued gathering and analyzing data, eventually deciding to conduct a recall earlier this month. As of January 16, the automaker has received 674 warranty claims related to the issue, but there are no reports of injuries or crashes.<\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p>Owners will be notified in March and they&rsquo;ll be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealership, where the FI-ECU software will be reprogrammed.<\/p>\n<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/2021-Acura-TLX-Type-S-7.jpg\" data-type=\"inarticle-image-block\"> <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\n<p>                    <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"lazy \" src=\"\" alt=\" 295,000 Honda And Acura Vehicles Recalled Over Stalling Engines\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1281\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/2021-Acura-TLX-Type-S-7-1024x683.jpg\" data-type=\"inarticle-image\" \/><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>        <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>In other Acura news, the company is recalling 9,221 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/acura-mdx\/\">MDXs<\/a> from the 2025 model year. Their infotainment system can go blank, resulting in the loss of a rearview camera display. This runs afoul of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.<\/p>\n<p>The problem was traced to improper software programming as &ldquo;the center information display unit may show a black screen after the transmission is shifted from reverse to other drive positions within a certain time. If the transmission is shifted into reverse following this display error, the screen remains black, rather than displaying the reverse camera view.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Honda noticed the issue in October of last year and isn&rsquo;t aware of any crashes, injuries, or warranty claims related to the problem.
